*Last minute getaway*

So i decided to take a last minute trip to socal for the weekend and im so glad i did.  Long entry time...

Started off on friday hitting up my old korean joint in Torrance with Doug, Sam, Curtis, Shin, and Steve.  I ordered the kimchi fried rice RIGHT AWAY.  ive been craving that since march!!...it was so damn good, i think i devoured the plate in like 2 mins.  We had so much soju and beer and just chatted about whats going on with ourselves lately....it was a really fun night, felt like i never stopped going.  Shin was crackin me up all night, boi has jokes! haha....thanks to all u guys that came out we need to do it again...im already craving kimchi fried rice....

Swung by rage at 1am to say wassup to all the LA bois, everyone was there, ran into a lot of faces i havent seen in a while.  Happy bday to ted btw, u still owe me water!  Jung and his madness of gigantic grey goose shots started right away when i got there.  Even though i was there for only 1 1/2 hrs...it was great to see everyone.

Saturday had lunch with Sam and Shin and we watched Batman at Del Amo in Torrance....holy crap was that a great movie or what!!   Heath Ledgers Joker was so maniacal and awesome...even better than Nicholsans in my opinion.  The action scenes were friggin awesome, gotta love the Bat Bike.  I think imma see this movie again monday night and also wednesday night...id love to catch it on IMAX though....DEFINETLY A MUST SEE!!

After the movie, i decided to hitup San Diego and drop in on Dave and the gang.  Dave and I decided to go to Bourbon St bar and meet up with Tonny and his friends.  Annie, Ryan and her roommate came later on.  IT was pretty fun!  I thought it was gonna be packed but it was packed just enough to be right.  Bumped into Sei, Andrew and Tommy there also!  manage to score some free pork they were giving away too, think that was Annies and I moment of the night, free pork!  After a while Dave and i left to hitup the SD bonfire party which...sucked...but bumped into Wes, Elmer and RB and got to watch a guy/girl fight so it made up for it haha....and to top it all off...Carne Asada Fries from Robertos~!!!!!!!

After a nice lunch at Eyebrow Cadaos and rounds of Mario Kart that i whooped Daves butt in...I paid Annie a visit at the newly renovated Costa Verde apt...heh...everything has been moved around and the layout has changed.  I sat there in the living room looking around and slowly started remembering all the fun times i had in that apartment.  It was like seeing invisible ghosts of our past selves walk around the apartment doing stuff we always used to do (usually eat and sleep lol).  So many changes, not just to the apartment but with everyone, kinda sad but also exciting in a way.  After letting my mind wander i parted ways with Annie and  decided to head back up to LA and get ready for my trip back to the bay area.  I couldnt help but feel a bit mopey about things.  I guess it was just seeing everyone and doing things that i was so accostumed to in the past just opened up the flood gates to a lot of great memories.  Driving up and down the 5 and looking out to the ocean...such a calming sight.  I miss taking those roadtrips to SD and back...and seeing all the familiar faces.

Only sucky part of my trip...was being grounded at LAX for 3 HOURS!!!!!!  i did not make it home till 1am...wack!

Props to everyone that came out.  A big thanks to Ming Mark and Dave M. for letting me crash over friday.  Another big thanks to Dave L. for letting me crash on my good ol bed saturday.  It was great seeing everyone!!  Cant wait to do it again....August 15th~!

*What a weekend AGAIN*

Memorial Day weekend came with a bang.

Hit up Dragon as usual with Des and the gang.  All the LA peeps were in town as well.  Started off pretty dead but towards the end of the night it was rockin as usual and the liquor came on pouring in!  Alex and his crew, along with Wilson and his friends and many more showed up.  Props to Des for stopping me from destroying a tree afterwards (i vividly remember that) and always keeping an eye out for me!  I dont know how u put up with my nonsense sometimes, heh...

Saturday was a day of rest and alcohol recovery...only to get ready for Popsicle~!  My first TIESTO experience and i was so anxious and looking forward to it!!...so midnight comes and Tiesto is ROCKING!  I love that guys music...everyones cheering and dancing and....LIGHTS OUT...W-T-F...the building lost power...and so did parts of Daly City.  1 more hr of Tiesto was left but there was nothing that could be done and we were thrown out...what a party foul~!  Ended up chilling and eating at Thomas hotel suite till 7am chatting about old LA fun times and catching up.

Sunday woke up at 3PM only to get ready to head to the city for Fresh and Sanctuary~!  Met up with the LA peeps and got in line for Fresh at 6PM.  Went in, had a few drinks (which btw are 20 bux each...) popping to the music (party is from 6-12 only) so 10:30 comes around, feeling the music, hanging with the buddies....LIGHTS OUT...W-T-F...so apparently 3 dickwads OD'ed on G and had to go to the hospital so to prevent any further accidents they stopped the party...ANOTHER party foul!!
To save the night we went over to Sanctuary which sucked...not even worth talking about, nuff said.

MONDAY Finally a none partying day.  Today was actually a really cool day.  Picked up Des to grab brunch with Wilson, Sei and Elmer.  We all took a stroll by the Ferry building to kill time before their flight and bid them farewell right after.  Des and i took off to this hiking area near Ocean Beach that hes been trying to get me to go for a while now.  It was a really cool experience, reminded me of my trip to Yosemite with Ericson and Michael.  I havent done something outdoorsy in a while, so it felt good to go out and break a sweat and enjoy the ocean breeze on the rocky cliffs with good company.  The view was beautiful.  Makes me wanna plan a camping trip sometime this summer or next i think everyone would have a great time.  Jess made some great BBQ food afterwards when we got back "home" and it was hella good.  Finished the night off with some Dr Mario and headed home...tired....from a long weekend.  Thanks for the nature walk Des, was fun!

Overall a great holiday weekend.  Felt good to have my LA bois back in town, miss them all and the fun times they always bring with them.  Dont get me wrong i met lots of great friends in SF and continue to do so, and lots of not so great ones that i thought otherwise...but the LA guys will always be my family.  Come back again soon!

Reality kicks back in in 5 hrs..gotta work for next weekend again~!

*The city that never sleeps*

What a weekend it was...

Thurs night took off eastward back home to NYC...havent been back since november...and boi did it feel good.  Started off friday morning with Dunkin Donuts coffee and breakfast sammich...mmmmm....

Reunited friday night with my old college roommates, good ol suite 122, Riche, Garrick and Chris.  It was great seeing the guys, some whom i havent seen since we graduated.  Its amazing how far weve all come.  Chris took me to the city to meet the Sunnyside guy and we had a great night on the town.  NY PIZZA and JAMAICAN BEEF PATTIES...nuff said!

Saturday started off with Dim Sum, CWF style.  Howie Dru Zo Steph and Steph came out...gotta do the dim sum with my WoW peeps always!.  a BBQ at joes came next.  All the JHS 189 guys came out.  Man, talk about flashback lane.  Ed brought out pics of us during our teen yrs.  Man totally made me feel sentimental.  Its great to know after 16 years we manage to stay together, these guys are like my brothers now, i love them all and would do anything for them.  At night i ate dinner with the Sunnyside peeps and hit up good ol Slate (called Cue Bar now).  Sabrina and her evil drinks were ready and totally took me down for the count!  Damn you Sabrina!!  You never fail!

So Sunday...the big day comes.
Victoria Lau is getting married.  Im not gonna lie, i cried a lot.  I remember meeting Vicky in 7th grade.  We would spend endless hours on the phone all the time, 9PM to 4AM was vicky phone time.  Weve been through so much growing up.  Vicky is like a sister to me.  And even though we dont talk much after i moved to LA/SF, i am happy that i can go back and reunite with her like when i was 13.  Im really happy for her, Dave Hom is a very lucky guy to snag such a beautiful girl like Vicky.  Congrats Vicky, you deserve it girl, i love u and always will.
Ray and I went to Vickys wedding (thanks for coming Ray, hope u enjoyed it, ur the best!) alongside faces that some i havent seen in years....so many people from my past, JHS, HS and college...Its the reason why i miss NY, the people and the comfort and joy i felt being with them.
The ceremony came and went, the dinner, the bar, karaoke...little scuffle with Steve Lee (I love u bro, and im glad we had that talk, i needed someone to smack me for my past, and im there for u whenever u need me man).  All in all it was a night that i will never forget...in the end saying goodbye i couldnt let Vicky go, i must have been hugging her for what felt like 30 mins....lol....and to top it all off....drunken food at WHITE CASTLES!!!  (sorry about throwing fries at u joe, i was drunk...lol)

Leaving JFK...I remembered why i love NYC...its the people that live there, the people i grew up with for 16 yrs or so...the people i am proud to call friends...my family.  I cant wait to go back August 7th...flight is booked, Eds wedding, Kevs wedding...and more reunions await...

So the summer is here pretty much, all the big movies are coming out.  Met my potential new roomies today, i hope it all works out, otherwise its back to the drawing board.  Got to check out the Wii Fit with Des and Bonnie, i need to get that (woulda gotten it but spent money reserving Rockband Wii!).  Grabbed a drink later with my friend and his buddies, funny guys.  2 more days till the start of wats looking like a wild wild weekend!!  cant wait!!!
